Looking for a good time? Love to dance? Head to Myrtle Beach.
There's some stupendous spring weather coming up this weekend and people will be dancing in the streets. Ok, maybe not in the streets. But they'll be dancing.
They won't be celebrating the weather although warm, sunshiny days are predicted. They'll be dancing in celebration of South Carolina's official dance, The Shag.
The place to be in Myrtle Beach this weekend is Ocean Lakes Family Campground for the 11th Annual Beach n' Boogie Weekend. Shag music is in the spotlight on Friday and Saturday when folks from all over the East Coast and beyond put on their dancing shoes.
The Fantastic Shakers kick off the festivities Friday night at 7 pm. While the adults boogie, the kids can enjoy other activities like games and crafts. A continental breakfast is served on Saturday morning from 8 to 10 am, then there are shag lessons from 10am-3pm, followed by lunch with all the fixins' from 11 am to 2 pm. The day ends with a pm performance by The Embers.
With nothing but clear skies and temperatures near the 70's this weekend, it's time to make your plans to attend Beach n' Boogie. Call 1-877-510-1774 or visit www.OceanLakes.com.
